There are convenience stores close by as well as many bars and restuarants in Kyoto station. The hotel is clean and comfortable. We liked that you could hire bikes for free. The rooms were a decent size, still small in comparison to Western apartments, but there was enough space for us. The beds were comfy. I liked the onsen and the amenities they provide there. Only a 10 minute walk to the main Kyoto Station.
