The staffs are very nice and helpful. The lounge is pretty. The castle is easy to approach, there is a bus stop just I front of the castle gate.

This place is in a small and quiet village, perfect for exploring the countryside as well as nearby Tongeren and Maastricht on bike. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with a wide range of hot and cold food, with hot coffee and and fresh-squeezed orange juice brought to the table. There were lots of lovely touches- Rituals bath products; a mini fridge with complimentary champagne, water, and chips; soft toilet paper, a rain-shower and simultaneous sprayer in the bathroom, gourmet teas and a kettle in the room, air-co and climate control, etc. Very clean and modern, with comfortable bed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

The small-scale Boutique Hotel Huys van Steyns is housed in the former residence of Louis Steyns, the founder of a famous shoe brand, and offers a private garden and bicycle rental services. A beautifully renovated period property with nods to it's link to shoe making. Owner was very helpful as it was our first visit to Tongeren and we appreciated his recommendations . Close to centre with parking on site. Excellent breakfast.
