Our room had a huge private terrace and the views were unbelievable. I heard clanging one morning we were there and was delighted to see cows parading through the street right below us! The bus stop is literally right across the street so super convenient. Ideal location as it is super walkable to shops and restaurants but not quite in the noisier heart of it all. The staff was kind and attentive and it was a huge bonus to have laundry available in the basement. The toiletries provided in the room smelled amazing. The restaurant was top notch, we dined there our first night. To end our stay, we got a lovely Swiss chocolate bar as we checked out :)

Great location close to the ski lifts, clean and spacious rooms, phenomenal views from the balcony. We had dinner in the hotel's restaurant and it was a phenomenal experience, much recommended!

The hotel is 600 metres from the First Cable Car Station and lies 100m above the centre of Grindelwald. Its rooms and sun terrace have magnificent views of the surrounding scenery. The location is really good. Though it’s not near the train station, it’s only 20min walk or 15min ride with the free bus service given by the hotel. The view of the hotel, I would say, it’s much better than those next to the train station and the main road - simply choose rooms with mountain views. The staff members are all very friendly and helpful. And the facilities are great with no complaints.

The Hotel Alpenruhe - Vintage Design Hotel is situated in calm surroundings in the car-free village of Wengen, on a plateau with panoramic views of the mountains and the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Everything. The carefree village. The magnificent 50s and 60s Swiss design furniture. The sweet, always ready to help staff. The excellent and varied breakfast fare. Freshly prepared eggs.. The location on the edge of the village, only 5 minutes from some very nice (read good food) restaurants. Well worth paying a bit more for a Mountain View balcony room. That made our stay amazing - we appreciated all the different skies on and over the superb mountains with their glaciers- blue sky, dotted with clouds, low and slate coloured rain clouds, totally submerged by cotton ball clouds coming and going into the valley.
