Huge, beautiful rooms. The mall across it is well connected to the rest of Shanghai metro and is near to a hip neighborhood. Wonderful, proactive staff. Very well thought-out guest experience which elevated our stay. They have a pillow menu <3. Aside from the air-conditioning, it's very quiet in the rooms. Frankly, this exceeded our expectations which will be hard to match in my future stays.

This is a beautifully atmospheric hotel that, for us, more than lived up to its reputation. It was my fiancée's birthday, and we were generously upgrade to a wonderful suite with spectacular river views. Gorgeous roses, chocolates and a birthday cake added the perfect finishing touch. The staff were all extremely professional and friendly throughout - especially Mr Danny Hu, who warmly welcomed us and introduced us to our suite, bringing a real personalised feel to our stay. Finally, breakfast in the impressive lobby was luxurious with excellent service.

The staff, notably Charlene Yuan, were superb, providing service in fluent Chinese and English. We were pleasantly surprised by an upgrade to a spacious room, complete with modern amenities. The added luxury of fresh fruit in our room was delightful. The breakfast, with a wide variety of fresh, tasty Western options, was a daily treat. Can't wait to return!
