This hotel was just like in the pictures. Excellent room and lovely staff. The spa was nice too. It’s very easy by car and you can take a taxi to go to Caceres for dinner and enjoy the old town at night.

NH Gran Hotel Casino de Extremadura is next to the Guadiana River, 10 minutes’ walk from Badajoz city centre and Alcazaba Fortress. It offers free WiFi and houses the Gran Casino de Extremadura. The hotel is great room was clean, very big, we have had a long day so it was the perfect place to stay. Great pressure in the shower and the breakfast buffet is amazing, the reception personnel was not either friendly or unfriendly they just get the job done. The buffet personal was great.

Housed in a former convent, built in the 15th century, the Parador de Plasencia hotel has kept its stunning, original architecture, including spacious hallways, archways and courtyards. The Parador is exceptional !!! The bar in the bodega and the wellness center with sauna, jacuzzi was a great surprise. The staff at the reception were very kind.

The bed was very comfortable, the airconditioning worked well (very necessary in Extremadura in mid-summer) and the bathroom was clean and very serviceable. It would have been nice to have an electric coffee machine, but there were many restaurants close by that served coffee and breakfast at very reasonable prices.

You wake up with birds chirping and the calming sound of the river, such an incredible experience overall. Already looking forward to go again. The hotel is fairly new, it opened last august. We fell in love with this chain of hotels “Hospedería de Extremadura” starting from this one located in Hervás :) Beautiful building (it was a convent and hospital), big room, huge parking, close to town and several trekking routes, helpful staff! Most importantly, super pet-friendly! With a supplement we received a hearty kit for our dog ;)

It’s perfectly Spanish no compromise for the non Spanish travellers so make the effort. It’s lovely the food is superb and the breakfast bread is probably the best I’ve ever tasted. The town itself is picturesque. The Extremadura is the best part of Spain in my opinion and the hotel reflects everything good about it.
