Boasting wonderful views across the Stour and Box river valleys, this privately owned inn is set on a hill in the picturesque village of Stoke-by-Nayland, on the Essex and Suffolk border. Breakfasts were very good , made with local produce, I think . (apart from the baked beans). The staff were friendly and prompt. Very impressed. The rooms were lovely and quiet, not too close to the pub.

Set in beautiful Suffolk countryside, this grade II 16th-century coaching Inn’s offers rooms with antique furniture and free Wi-Fi. The traditional restaurant and bar provide great food and real ales.... This was a lovely place. The staff were excellent. The restaurant was fabulous. We will return for sure.

Featuring a bar and brasserie restaurant, Milsoms is located in Dedham. Nice location near the river even though its very close to the A12 so you can hear the traffic.

With free parking and WiFi, The Mill Hotel is in the centre of Sudbury, on the banks of the River Stour. It has a bar, restaurant and sun terrace each with picturesque views over the meadows. I could not speak more highly of the staff. No question or ask was ever too difficult. They were so friendly and helpful which made my stay 10/10.

Situated in 300 acres of countryside on the edge of the Dedham Vale and just off the A134, this hotel is approximately 20 minutes’ drive from Colchester and Ipswich. The spa and the restaurant was amazing

Situated in a small town, this inn provides real ale, good home-cooked food from local suppliers, a fine wine menu and live entertainment on a regular basis. Very warm welcome from Charlie and staff. Made sure we was looked after. Room was beautiful and spacious Lovely breakfast in the mornings Location was perfect Will definitely return again Thank you

Overlooking Melford Hall, The Mill offers spacious rooms in the centre of Long Melford. Amazing stay once again. Lovely little village with lots of places to eat. Accommodation is pure luxury with such attention to detail from the home made cake to the little ducks for the bath if you can find them. Just park your car up right outside your room and explore. Lovely hosts that look after you and cook you a fabulous breakfast. If your thinking about it don't just book it you won't be disappointed.
