A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. Love how dog friendly it is, it’s very cosy downstairs, and the food was exquisite.

Set in 2 acres of tranquil wooded gardens. The charming rooms have TVs and tea and coffee facilities, and many have breathtaking views of the valley and fells. We had a magnificent stay at the Borrowdale Gates Hotel. You have everything you need at the hotel. And it’s a nice getaway from the city. Close to Keswick and the beautiful hikes in the Lake District. Highly recommend!

Situated on the beautiful lower slopes of Skiddaw, Lyzzick Hall Hotel offers impressive mountain views and an on-site restaurant with extensive wine cellar. Great hotel, exceptionally clean and tidy. Staff were all very friendly and very attentive. Excellent food and service.

Coledale je venkovský hostinec z 19. století, který se nachází jen 3,2 km od Keswicku. Nabízí 2 tradiční bary a elegantní pokoje. We spent only 1 night in the hotel. The double and the single beds were comfortable with a clean toilete. The hotel has a big parking area but if you cant find any you can still park on the street for free. There is a path 10 minutes from the hotel into the mountain. The full english breakfast was delicious definitely worth it. I can highly recommend the hotel if you would like to spend a few days in the lakes.

Set in 5 acres of woodland gardens, The Mary Mount Hotel is set on the shores of Derwentwater. With countryside views, rooms are en suite. There is also a restaurant and free WiFi throughout. We loved the large room with views up Derwent Water and the large outdoor deck next to a garden area ( room no. 40). The furnishings were very comfortable and included a small table and chairs by the view window. The bathroom had floor heating and the shower was a good size , hot water and with great water pressure.The well staffed restaurant is very large and included a separate section for hikers and people with dogs . The breakfasts were nice and the dinner menu had lots of options and prices very reasonable . The restaurant has lovely views across to the lake and mountain backdrop. The proximity ( about two hundred metres) to the Lodore ferry landing was very convenient and provided an opportunity to do a delightful Derwent Water walk by using the ferry to transfer to another location and walking back to the hotel. There is lots of free parking right at the hotel.
