A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. Love how dog friendly it is, it’s very cosy downstairs, and the food was exquisite.

Situated within the picturesque Lake District, the privately owned Glaramara Hotel boasts scenic views of the Borrowdale Fells, free parking, a restaurant, free Wi-Fi, and easy access to rock... Breakfast was perfect for the morning. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Set in 2 acres of tranquil wooded gardens. The charming rooms have TVs and tea and coffee facilities, and many have breathtaking views of the valley and fells. We had a magnificent stay at the Borrowdale Gates Hotel. You have everything you need at the hotel. And it’s a nice getaway from the city. Close to Keswick and the beautiful hikes in the Lake District. Highly recommend!

Situated on the beautiful lower slopes of Skiddaw, Lyzzick Hall Hotel offers impressive mountain views and an on-site restaurant with extensive wine cellar. Great hotel, exceptionally clean and tidy. Staff were all very friendly and very attentive. Excellent food and service.

Just 2 miles from Keswick, The Coledale is a 19th-century country inn with 2 traditional bars and elegant rooms. We spent only 1 night in the hotel. The double and the single beds were comfortable with a clean toilete. The hotel has a big parking area but if you cant find any you can still park on the street for free. There is a path 10 minutes from the hotel into the mountain. The full english breakfast was delicious definitely worth it. I can highly recommend the hotel if you would like to spend a few days in the lakes.

Hotelul The Mary Mount este situat pe malul lacului Derwentwater și are o grădină de 2 hectare cu zone împădurite. Camerele oferă baie proprie și vedere la zona rustică din jur. We loved the large room with views up Derwent Water and the large outdoor deck next to a garden area ( room no. 40). The furnishings were very comfortable and included a small table and chairs by the view window. The bathroom had floor heating and the shower was a good size , hot water and with great water pressure.The well staffed restaurant is very large and included a separate section for hikers and people with dogs . The breakfasts were nice and the dinner menu had lots of options and prices very reasonable . The restaurant has lovely views across to the lake and mountain backdrop. The proximity ( about two hundred metres) to the Lodore ferry landing was very convenient and provided an opportunity to do a delightful Derwent Water walk by using the ferry to transfer to another location and walking back to the hotel. There is lots of free parking right at the hotel.
