Situated in the market town of Penrith, The North Gate-way to the Lake District National Park, Foundry 34 offers free Wi-Fi throughout, a brasserie restaurant, and bar. great room, air conditioned, quiet, clean and extremely friendly staff. they made me feel so welcomed.

Located in Penrith in Cumbria, just 7 miles from the Lake District Park, The Lounge Hotel & Bar offers a restaurant and a bar, just 5 miles from Lake Ullswater. Breakfast was awesome, as well as the other food I ordered while there. The most solicitous staff and ownership, truly wonderful experience. Highly, highly recommend!

Just outside of Penrith, the Brantwood Hotel is less than 3 miles from Ullswater. Just one mile from the junction 40 of M6 it offers en suite bedrooms and TVs. This was a last minute booking due to travel disruption and we were highly impressed with the Brantwood Hotel, the pictures don’t do it justice. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the Hotel has many quirky designs in it architecture. The food, evening meal and breakfast was delicious. From a rating point of view it’s a 10/10.

The traditional The George Hotel, stands in the very centre of the bustling market town of Penrith on the edge of the Lake District and the North Pennines. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was lovely, location excellent. Our room was great!

Boasting an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, and modern rooms, the 4-star luxury North Lakes Hotel and Spa, is located just off the M6 motorway. Interior design was amazing inside - very modern! lovely touches in the family room - little colouring packs for kids, their own robes and little juices and snacks for them too in the fridge, cookies on arrival and a fresh milk dispenser right outside the door was brill - especially to fill bottles for babies!! Staff were so friendly in the restaurant also. Will defo be recommending!

The Roundthorn Country House and luxury self-catering Mews Apartments are set in landscaped gardens, with panoramic views of the Eden Valley and Lakeland Fells. First class hotel. Friendly helpful staff, beautiful, comfortable room and excellent food. We were driving south from Scotland to Liverpool to join a cruise ship, unfortunately due to bad weather conditions our itinerary was changed and we elected not to sail. I rang the hotel on our way back north and were delighted that they were able to give us the same room. Would definitely stay at Roundthorn again.
