Well what a difference we have stayed at the kings head several times and I must say it was a bit run down ( cheap and cheerful comes to mind) but now after a full refurbished it is now an excellent place to stay only downside is the rooms are on the small side which with an old building cannot be changed + great location and as always the staff are very helpful and welcoming

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The room we stayed in was very clean. The food was excellent, they would give you large portion which is great value for your money. The hotel was lovely and is great for a relaxing time away. Its very close to Beccles Town centre and the broads which was nice. We would definitely go to the Swan Motel again.

Michael was exceptional in showing us the apartment and explaining how to use everything. He also gave great advice for activities. And Bridget had high tea awaiting us on arrival! Location is an ideal base to visit the Broads. Excellent breakfast selection including lots of fruit and well presented. Rooms very clean and fresh. We should have paid extra for a river view. Decided to have dinner in the hotel again after venturing out to a nearby restaurant which wasn’t good. Hotel dinner 2 nights was excellent.

I arrived late in the night, but that wasn’t a problem for the staff. I was surprised how big is the hotel, ( in a good way)and with all you need inside. I stayed in a mini double room, which wasn’t mini, was exactly what I needed. Everything around was clean and tidy.

John and Suzanne are great hosts went out of there way to make us feel welcome, even gave us a lift to our friends fancy dress party locally. The accomadation is lovely and clean, All on ground level. Large shower, Beautiful views over fields. It's on a busy road but no disturbed night sleep as no windows onto the road. Very well equipped with tea, coffee, mugs and China cups with tea pots a nice touch, milk, biscuits, hairdryer, fresh towels and bed linen. There is a lovely pub down the road overlooking the river called the Bell Inn have to drive there.
