Hotel Palazzo Alexander is a historic building in the centre of Lucca, with easy access from Porta San Donato. Rooms come with free Wi-Fi and air conditioning, and the staff is multilingual. Everything was absolutely exceptional. Nothing too much trouble. They even came and found us in the streets of Lucca in our car and drove the car to the hotel as we had got lost. Just really lovely people. Breakfast was absolutely perfect as is the location. Can't fault it at all!!!!

This warm and friendly hotel is within the ancient walls of Lucca, a 10-minute walk from the cathedral. Highlights at Hotel Alla Corte degli Angeli include free Wi-Fi and elegantly decorated rooms. We had an excellent stay. The hotel is right in the middle of this beautiful city. Fantastic room, we asked for a quiet one and it was perfect. Huge bathroom with spa bath and great shower. Breakfast was outstanding. Staff could not have been more helpful and booked us excellent authentic restaurants. If you are coming to Lucca you need to stay here.

Just 200 metres from Lucca Train Station and a 5-minute walk from the city walls, Albergo Moderno offers air-conditioned rooms with LCD TV. Really beautiful and quiet location. The breakfast was also nice and the family that runs the hotel was also kind. The owner/manager was very kind to help me with my luggage up the stairs, but it is definitely easier here with light luggage :) If you are coming by train, make sure to ask about reaching the property by the back exit of train station to avoid taking large stairs to cross the town.
