Undercover parking very convenient too. Good wifi. And very helpful staff that advised and booked restaurants for us, but also helped us to get back the laptop our son had forgotten in his room ;). Khan River Lodge is a secluded location, wild and highly scenic, surrounded by private land. It is about 20 km off the B2 road, which we did not quite realize until we got there. The drive itself is a lot of fun, as we saw lots of wildlife, but it is a mix of sand and dirt, challenging for smaller cars without 4WD. The property is cozy, with only about six double-occupancy units, of which we were occupying two (we were traveling as two adults and two older children). The "restaurant" is the lodge kitchen: two wonderful ladies preparing delicious meals and serving them in style. There is no posted menu, but the daily food offerings are artfully presented and tasty, based on local produce and meat. We did not realize we would be the only guests -- and we booked the self-catering option, counting on eating at the restaurant. We had booked self-catering options in other locations, but never realized how remote this one was. Upon arrival, we learned that the expectation for "self-catering" was that we would bring our own food and not need the restaurant. Since the property was just opening after the New Year holiday, they had to scramble a bit, but were kind enough to accommodate (read: feed) us. We loved the meals and the ambiance, the quiet, the lack of light pollution at night, the variety of wildlife roaming around the property, and the laid-back atmosphere -- self-service honesty bar, well-stocked and open to us at all hours.

I absolutely loved the warm welcome and how accommodating the venue is. The rooms are spacious. The location is walking distance from everything. The breakfast is phenomenal and the special touch of dog treats on a plate made our day. We felt welcome and special. We also loved the little bakery and the freshly baked bread.

I really enjoyed staying at Flamingos. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I had a flat tire and they worked hard to get it fixed. Just great service. the breakfast was a bit too American style in my opinion, but still OK. I did not understand why there was Salmon from Norway on the dinner menu.... The beds were super comfortable and just right after a few days in the desert

They even called to book for us at places we wanted to go to, recommended great restaurants around the area.

It is what it says -- a great little hotel RIGHT ON THE BEACH. The pictures are true... our patio door walked right out onto that lovely green lawn and then to the beach. It was great that they offered a family room, it had a nice patio and small fridge and coffee/tea station. It wasn't the most elegant decor, but it was clean and completely met our needs for a beach get away. Free parking -- it was tight to get to our assigned spot, but the car gaurd was always on duty to help ease one into the space.

The Strand Hotel felt like an oasis after coming from the desert…extremely welcoming staff everywhere, sumptuous yet cozy interieur, a extremely varied breakfast buffet with endless choices and 3 restaurants incl. outdoor & sea facing terras/bar in house - there was nothing we could ask for on top of that!

Swakopmund Sands býður upp á útsýni yfir Atlantshafið og er staðsett í stuttri göngufjarlægð frá bryggjunni og sædýrasafninu National Marine Aquarium en það er með setustofu og barsvæði. Rhe staff were very helpful and went out of their way to accommodate my needs. I was looked after and felt treasured. I will return in 2023 to enjoy a winter vacation in the most beautiful stretch of the West Coast of Namibia.
