We parked the car in the wrong space but were told politely to move the car from boendeparkering to the hotel parking.

The historic Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden is located in the Stockholm Archipelago, a 20-minute drive from Stockholm city centre. The location was perfect after arriving by boat. Needed sleep! I did not mind staying a bit outside Stockholm. Took the train there. I loved the atmosphere of getting some pampering and class after nights of sailing without shower.

Skärgårdshotellet offers views of the Baltic Sea and the Stockholm archipelago, and is located less than 3 minutes’ drive from the Gotland ferry service. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi and parking. We stayed with family for one night. We arrived after 10 p.m. The reception lady welcomed us very kindly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was early and delicious.

Set by a fortress from 1735, this waterfront hotel on Värmdö Island offers impressive views of Solöfjärden and the surrounding archipelago. We wanted a break from hard travel and are so glad we chose Fredriksborg. The rooms are very simple with a terrific outlook. The location is remarkable, on a hill above the deep water channel going in and out of Stockholm. The first time we saw a huge ship gliding by above eye level was a happy surprise. The dinner served at their restaurant was superb. But the best of all is the staff. They take great pride in the history of the location and its role in the defense of Stockholm in centuries past. Pontus (spelling ?) went out of his way to show us the property as well as to drive us to the ferry for the return to Stockholm. We were very appreciative.

This early 1900s property is in Nynäshamn, on Trehörningen Island. It offers spa treatments, panoramic sea views and fine dining. Stockholm city centre is just 45 minutes’ drive away. Lovely place on a lovely location with a stunning view over the ocean and nature. We have stayed here many times

Set in Stockholm’s beautiful archipelago, first-class hotel and conference centre Fågelbrohus offers a historic setting in Värmdölandet, just a 35 minute drive from the centre of Stockholm. We loved staying here and will come back. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome since the first minute. The room was big with good facilities. The spa with saunas was very nice and the common areas were beautifully decorated. It t was extra charming to be there in December when there was snow and Christmas decorations.

This hotel lies on Stockholm's archipelago coast, 200 metres from Saltsjöbaden Train Station. It offers free WiFi and private parking. We staid in the beautifull suites (Happy & Lucky) in front of the sea. From the bed we enjoyed the magnificent view on the sea. The breakfast is excellent and the hotel offers many activities (kayak...). It is very well located, close to the sea but also close to Stockholm and even Tyresa national park. We will come back !

Quiet, peaceful. Kayaks and swimming right there. Staff is amazing. Breakfast spread is wonderful. Restaurant for dinner has amazing dishes. There are hiking trails across the road. You can take the bus to town if you want to explore or go to a different restaurant.
