From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by this place and the hospitality. The owner Justin greeted us warmly with a handshake, checked us in, and personally gave us a detailed tour of our room and all its amenities. The room is spacious, extremely well-appointed, and very comfortable, with a gorgeous view. The grounds and surrounds are stunning, especially the beautifully serene pool area. Everything has been clearly well thought out -- an excellently managed place. We don't normally dine at our accommodations, but we made an exception here, and we were very glad we did -- the food was top notch. Breakfast was also really wonderful. I can't say enough good things about this place!

We had an excellent stay here. Although it is located close to the R62, we didn't here the traffic. The room is very good, spacious with a beautiful patio where you look down over the garden and vineyards. Swimming pool is close by (cold water though!) and the host and personnel were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. The breakfast starter is quite an experience, almost an art impression with homemade fruits etc. We did not benefit from the full breakfast they offer, since we were not that hungry. But I'm sure the full breakfast would have given us a similar experience.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and their friendly, attentive manner made a difference. The food at the hotel was delicious. Each meal was prepared with care and attention to detail, and the ingredients were fresh and locally sourced. I particularly enjoyed the breakfasts, which were a perfect way to start each day. The dinners were also a highlight, with a great variety of options to choose from. The tranquil gardens surrounding the hotel were a true oasis of calm. It was lovely to take a stroll through the gardens and simply relax and unwind in such a peaceful setting. I even stayed in one day just to enjoy the serene calmness of the place! Overall, I cannot recommend the Montagu Country Hotel highly enough. The staff, the food, and the tranquil gardens all exceeded my expectations, and I will be returning in the future. It truly is a hidden gem in the heart of Montagu.
