Johannesburg is a little scary at night and we were pleased to have safe transfers and to be within a gated community at the hotel. Beautiful hotel - few rooms and very comfortable and modern.

Our flight from London was delayed by 15 hours so landing at 11pm into JNB and it was a delight to walk 100m to the hotel with young children with us, feeling safe. The rooms were beautiful, the beds were incredibly comfortable with lovely linen and the mini bar was well stocked.

Birchwood facility is beautiful, clean, and kept to an amazing standard. The staff is very friendly and helpful. One of the things I like about it is taking a walk within the facility is stress relieving. The shops( wool worth, dischem, McDonald, checkers and so many more) are very close by all within walking distance. I would recommend the stay. Hope this helps!
