How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

View from our window and noise of building work early in the morning

Spotlessly clean brilliant location and the staff were exceptional I will definitely be going back. The breakfast was completely enough with everything you would require to start the Day. We went to see the eagles at the coop theatre and it was a perfect location within walking distance. With all local amenities on the door step restaurants and shopping etc .
The room was absolutely amazing with everything you would need to for a three day break in the city

The only (very minor) issue was that the lighting in the bathroom was not great - especially over the mirror. Made it slightly more difficult to shave than I would have liked.
The facilities were amazing. It was more like an apartment than a hotel room. Full size fridge with icebox, microwave, sink and tap, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster - everything you could possibly need. The bed was very comfortable. Loads of hanging space and drawers. And the staff were all very friendly and helpful too.

When I arrived I was told I was pay on arrival but I'd already paid on booking.com had to wait 15 mins to clear this up.

Trying to initially find it, a bit out the way if you don't know Manchester.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and inviting and the breakfast was hot with a lot of choice.

We upgraded the room to a suite and it said you can take the extras I.e small bottle of soap etc but it did not have anything like that I thought at the price there may have been slippers and a robe to use again there was nothing just the little extras are nice for the cost.
It was clean and close to everything we wanted.

Large room with comfy bed, kitchen facilities, spacious shower. Breakfast Buffet lots of choice Walking distance good from railway station and walking distance 25mins to Etihad Stadium and Co Op Live, 5 minute walk to tram stop for those location

The noise from 7 am constant noise from construction works going on right next to the room even though I did message and ask for a room away from it as we stayed the week before and was put two doors down from where we was before, we booked a late check out for a lie in but really there was no point because I was awake because of noise, it was not only construction but noise from housekeeping wheeling trolleys up and down (which I get has to be done) and doors slamming
Love the rooms we had a suite which has everything you could need

The room was perfect for us as a family and the location was very good , the staff were very friendly and helpful, the only thing I wasn't happy with the breakfast to be honest because we are eating halal food , and there's no many choices for us . Even eggs they are serving only one type, so it's was tricky for me and my kids.

Lots of development in that area so window view was of a digger.
Double room was actually an apartment complete with small kitchen. 30 minute walk from Etihad Complex.

Music from nearby venue extremely loud until 1am. Building work on nearby property started before 8:30 on Saturday morning so very little sleep.

These are not complaints as we would be back in a heartbeat...loved the hotel. We left a note...couldn't close the window due to wiring from the outside and the bathroom door didn't close properly. Easy things for maintenance to sort out.
Staff are brilliant....very friendly and helpful. Very clean room with comfy bed. Good breakfast
