The overhead shower needed a good clean, there was black build up on the water jets. I showered using the handheld device rather than use the overhead.

Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Staff very friendly and welcoming. We had breakfast and also an evening meal, both were enjoyable.

There was no mention that swimming lessons were taking place in the pool, this is only a small pool so unable to use while lessons were in place. Not a great relaxing atmosphere as it could be. Also the main jet on the jacuzzi was not working, which was disappointing. Small areas of further cleaning could of taken place in the bathroom but generally clean/tidy. Windows look like they need a little tlc to the outside.

Very friendly and helpful staff from entering, during stay and leaving. Cosy room with everything you need. Great location just off the main road and close to the town.

Having to book a breakfast time. Decor in bedroom was slightly outdated but by no means awful. Slightly limited restaurant menu.

Very clean. Good location. Pleasant lounge area and restaurant. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good with good choices.

Our room was at the front facing the road, which was very noisy. The room was on the top floor which was very hot and stuffy but a fan is provided which was well used 😊 There is not much outside space for sitting and the seats are picnic benches which is not suitable for all. Limited beer selection

Lovely friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious 😋 We also had evening meals in the restaurant, which again was delicious and a great menu.

Maybe the bar could have had a bigger range of beers or maybe showcase locally brewed beers There wasn't anything we disliked

staff and location was great. Food was lovely we had breakfast and evening meal. Only a 15 minute walk into Kendal Liked the fact the hotel utilised it's facilities for local groups and businesses without impacting on hotel guests

Bedroom was dated. No lunches on while we were there and ended up going down the hill to their competition.

The pool and spa area is beautiful, as is the whole of the downstairs area. The bedrooms are dated and looked like mouldy sealant around the windows, but the bathroom looked newly renovated. Evening meal was expensive for the quality of the ingredients used we thought too.

The bathroom was very dated, the shower was very slow draining so filled up very quickly there was a bath so used that instead. Toilet also leaked so there was a towel on the floor constantly. There was a small pool, which was full when we went for swimming lessons for kids, rather dissapointed when paying what we did for the room. Breakfast was OK, good cooked options but cold offerings very slim.

Lovely staff, great location to visit Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere. Room was lovely and spacious
