These are very minor things and like a lot of hospitality venues I think the issues stem from staffing issues. The stair carpet needed a hoover and our waiter at dinner was a bit slow. The other waiters were great though, I think it was more of a person issue than a venue issue.

The Inn has a nice relaxed feel about it, the decor suits the location and my room was gorgeous. I had a balcony room and the view is something else! The service at breakfast was brilliant, very slick and the waitresses were lovely! My room was also very clean and the bed was comfortable.

Unfortunately, during our stay the TV in our room had no signal. Therefore, no.entertainment which was very disappointing! Especially, having a 9 year old to keep entertained. However, we walked down to the harbour which was a very pretty place.

The hotel is in a very good place to commute into central Edinburgh. I stayed over 1 night to take my daughter to Edinburgh Zoo the following day. The commute is only 30 minutes away. Charlestown is a beautiful picturesque village with a Harbour which over looks the stunning Queensferry bridge too.

A little confusing outside when sign points to reception but the car park is the other side. sign as you drive in pointing to 'Guest parking' might be an idea. Hotel is showing signs of wear and tear and could do with repainting (particularly door frames, skirting boards etc. (rather than walls)

Nice location, Lovely little hotel with really friendly staff. Rooms clean and comfortable with fantastic breakfast.

Things that could have made our stay better are: Instructions on how to use the TV More sheet/blanket options. A single duvet is often too warm A towel rack in the bathroom A toilet brush

Breakfast was very good. Room was spacious and quiet. Bed was comfortable. It's a good locations for exploring many area attractions and close to Edinburgh Airport.

With a sea view room, when other guests were smoking on their balcony's the horrible smell unfortunately drifts over to every other balcony and into rooms when windows/doors open.

Staff friendly and rooms clean. Food good value.
