Bathroom was not cleaned the best, hairs still in the bath, towels were dirty so had to ask for new ones and the few days we stayed they happened to have lost there liquor licence so no drinks served

STEPS & STAIRS! Be warned, do not bring a big case unless you’re feeling fit & strong, lots of stairs, no lift. We had to duck under a very low doorway into a bathroom which had no hot water or shower, only a bath to get to the bedroom! No other way into it. Very steep steps.

Location is fab, the pub below is lovely, great food & breakfast was included. Beds were very comfortable.

Could do with a freshening up a bit. Something had been taken down from the walls in our room and the wholes were just left. The shower poll kept coming away from the wall. The floor made a terrible noise. I would have hated to stay in the room below.

Whenever we used the bathroom facilities there would be an awful noise from the plumbing system that lasted for a few seconds, this woke us up a couple of times as other people used the bathroom. The shower-room itself was extremely cramped and the hot water from the tap didn’t work too well because the tap was on a timer.

Location and view from window was excellent, and hotel staff were lovely, breakfast was included which was 10/10, would love to return

Room was ok. Not the best standard. Lots of chips on the wall, locks were old school, lots of stairs to climb with luggage. With the price you’re paying for the location, the hotel interior is mediocre at best.

The bar had a problem with a licence and could not serve alcohol, which I was extremely disappointed about , I would love to have been informed before my stay that this was going to be the case, also it is advertised that breakfast to the room is a option but when asked I was just told, no we don't do that.

The room was not clean, we found empty bottle on the floor, and a plastic cap in other place on the floor also. I saw that the black blanket on the bed was very dirty when I lifted it up, it had many white spots on it as after yogurt. And there was a hair in the bathroom.

Good price, very good central location and good breakfast. Friendly staff.

Their is a lot do stairs so if you can’t walk them, I wouldn’t recommend. Avoid the breakfast! It was cold and by the time we got down hardly anything left

Bathroom was very small, could not sit properly on toilet as I am tall (1.84 meters) and the sink was right next to it. The bathroom made a very loud noise after using it (toilet, sink, or shower) TV did not have smart functionality, and had a weird resolution. The church nearby had a bell that rang non-stop for minutes. Shower pressure was on the low side.

The room was covered in dust, the bathroom had other peoples hair all over it. The room stank of cigarette smoke. Not good when you book a family room with children. The corridor leading to our room stank of marijuana.

I would not recommend staying there with infant. It is difficult to take the stroller up and down tight stairs and narrow hallway. Not clean room.

The whole place felt grubby and a bit seedy tbh. The carpet in our room was distinctly dirty and I didn’t like the way the windows could open all the way into an internal area - extremely dangerous if you had young children. Saying that the hotel is old but it really could do with a makeover particularly with the prices they were charging.

Very central location and the Reception team were friendly enough.
