How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Wc hard to get to as sloped ceiling and in between the windows and shower walls. Cost of stay debited days before visit’, maybe 50% is acceptable bot not all of it as id there is an issue you have no leverage. Car park difficult for motorcycles die to deep gravel.

All good.
This is a lovely site and the owners were exceptional. Bedroom facilites very good. Good location to main railway and to tourist railways. We had a lovely stay and could highly recommend the site to anyone. Excellent breakfast.

Not a major complaint, but I don't remember my room having an armchair. My room was fairly compact, so I don't think there was room for one.
Location was excellent - short walk to Tescos, easy walk to other shops and cafes on The Cob. The breakfast set-up was unbelievable - the choice amazing . I opted for cooked breakfast, but tried the cereals as well - amazing choice of nuts, seeds, dried fruit, fresh fruit - there were nuts and seeds there I'd never tried in my Life before - it was great.

Would have liked to have had a communal lounge.
It was lovely to have such a convenient place within the heart of the town. There was a wide variety of items provided for the continental breakfast, so refreshing to be able to make this into a 'holiday' meal as well as the alternative of a wonderful cooked traditional holiday breakfast.

The location was great, the people who work here are amazing and the room was perfect. Workers went out of their way to ensure they could answer any questions we had. Will be staying here for our next visit. Highly recommend.

Even though the property was not full, we were given a room where the extractor fan in the bathroom was not functioning. We found the room rather small for a couple although the bed and room furniture was extremely good.
Great location right in the centre of town but very quiet at night. Within five minutes walk of the railway station for the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway which was the purpose of our visit. Also within a ten minute drive of Portmeirion. The most beautifully prepared and varied choice of breakfast we have ever experienced in a guest house. Outstanding.

Really central accommodation to Penrhyn Llŷn. Very friendly staff, bedroom and bathroom were spacious and a lovely breakfast _ plenty of choice. Would definitely return!

Breakfast, room, location were all wonderful and on arrival we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. Lots of helpful advice in advance on where to eat, which was much appreciated, and the parking was really convenient.

There is nothing to dislike, and I can pick holes in anything. Oh, the room door key in number 9 was a little tricky to use but other than that I really can't think of anything else to be honest.
Thank you for an amazing stay at Tudor Lodge. Everything was just perfect from the welcome, to comfort, lovely clean room to the 5* breakfast. We will book again without doubt if visiting the area. Good car parking too. Did I mention the great breakfasts? Lol
