Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

AustraliaBasically nothing, except the payment method. My booking through booking.com was "free cancellation" and "pay at the property". But 2 days before our arrival, I received a message through booking.com saying that the hotel couldn't process my card, and I had to update my card details within 6 hours (another message said within 24 hours). Otherwise, my booking may be cancelled. Upon checking, I found the card details I provided was totally alright, nothing wrong. Then I kept receiving few similar messages on that day, one day before I flew! I felt being threatened! To avoid further confusion, I paid the booking cost on that day, instead of "pay at the property". When I arrived and checked in the hotel, I asked the manager (a man in formal suit whom I assumed was the manager or supervisor of the front desk) why the hotel processed my card 2 days before my arrival. He only kept asking me to show him my booking and where the "pay at the property" confirmation was. But since I had paid the whole cost, booking.com had updated my booking payment status, I was not able to find that "pay at the property" sentence. It was such a push by that manager at the front desk!! He appeared to be polite, but actually was very rude to talk me off and avoided answering my question!!
Everything was good - clean and quiet room, good location, polite staff (except the supervisor or manager).

Singaporeone of the pillow was too hard. it hurts my neck. so i had to use only 1 pillow. Asked for extra pillow they only gave one. Maybe they didnt hear we asked for 2 but it’s ok! Maybe you can change the pillows to be one average soft and the other maintain soft.
it’s cozy and comfortable! the staffs were very friendly and efficient too!

BangladeshI didn't like your gym. Even you can follow the gym at Mercure Hotel in Bangkok, Soi 11. Hope next time you can give more attention on your ground floor area including front desk to make it more lively.
room is good. unfortunately I didn't have breakfast. Pool is good but gym equipment is very less. I really appreciate the service of your coffee shop at ground floor. Room service and cleaning staffs are really good, helpful and they are loyal to your hotel.

IndonesiaI really disappoint when i ask to be assist to Mr.Ong for heat my mom coffee. He reject with nonsense reason (our kitchen sterile). I just ask for 30second put the coffee in the microwave or boil. I’ve been stay not only at Accor group but also Marriot group. Only this time at Mecure Shaw Parade really dissapointed. Am not satisfied with those event. Because your staff lazy to assist. I really want to give bad value but the HK department assist us very well!!!!

United KingdomThe staff who checked us in was very unfriendly. He overcharged me by nearly MYR 200, and when I questioned he just said "tax" without actually showing me how it was calculated. When I asked for an official receipt so I can see the breakdown, the receipt he provided was just a lump sum with no breakdown. After calculating it multiple times in the room, I went to the reception and asked another staff about it. After his investigation, it was concluded that I was right and refunded the overcharged amount. I'm glad the situation is sorted, however this annoyed me a lot on the first day, especially the way the check-in staff dismissed my (very legitimate) concerns.
The room was very clean, location isn't the best for public transport, and it wasn't very central, but Grab is so cheap it didn't really matter for us. In that area the local restaurants and laundromat were really good and cheap. Small gym and pool but it is nice to have. Pool bar was nice as well.

The room is very clean and comfortable, the location of the hotel also very convenient for us. The housekeeping staff is friendly and polite. The Front Desk staff (Joyce) is very helpful and try her best when l ask for help.

RomaniaThe room could have a deep cleansing as there are some yellowish spots on the carpet that look pretty bad. Also, breakfast could be improved with more options for people that don't eat Asian food. Most of the mornings we had the same food options for the breakfast. We arrived around 11 am in the hotel and were expected to can do our check-in around 12-13. But it was told to us that checkin time is 3pm (even if I couldn't find this info anywhere on their page before or after doing the booking) so we had to pay extra money for early check-in. I was not very happy about this aspect.
Staff was extremely nice and friendly, like all the Asians. The hotel is located in a very good position, easy to reach any touristical place. The pool was chill and most of the times we were the only ones using it. The view from terrace is really good as well.
